**The Opportunity**

Nicholson is seeking a career minded individual to join our Operations team as a **Warehouse Supervisor **at our manufacturing plant in Sidney, British Columbia. The position offers compensation commensurate with education and experience and a comprehensive benefits package.

**The Role**

Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will manage a team of 8 to 15 employees in a fast-paced, order fulfillment warehouse. Your ability to lead and develop people are combined with a strong work ethic, and a drive for continuous improvement. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will plan, direct and control the day-to-day requirements of the warehouse.

**Requirements**:

- A knowledgeable logistics or warehouse professional with relevant post-secondary education or certified designation(s) applicable to logistics, inventory, and warehouse management.
- Excellent English communication skills, verbal and written.
- 5+ years’ experience supervising a team in a parts management environment.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and MRP/ERP software programs.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Problem solving skills; capable of considering multiple variables and solutions in a time sensitive environment.
- Demonstrates entrepreneurial leadership and adaptability to respond to the needs of the customer with a clear understanding of the impact on profitability.
- Strong interpersonal skills that allow for conflict resolution.
- Proven initiative and leadership skills with the ability to exercise timely, good judgment in day-to-day business decisions.
- Experience managing in a unionized environment not necessary, but considered an asset.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate the shipping, receiving, order picking and warehousing of product with the hourly team, office staff and management to ensure all customer orders are shipped on time and to customer specifications.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Provide operational performance and status information to management.
- Manage an hourly workforce of unionized employees in a fair and equitable manner in accordance with company policies, procedures, and the collective agreement to deliver operational and work environment objectives including communications, safety, training, performance management, work assignment, attendance management, competency assessment, coaching, and discipline.
- Manage issues with carriers to ensure the efficient unloading and loading of freight carriers and trailers.
- Ensure all warehouse employees reporting to the Supervisor are properly trained in Company policies, procedures and the responsibilities of their current role.
- Develop a working knowledge of the company MRP system.
