Under the responsibility of the head of the quality department, the first parts inspector will be responsible for the inspection and approval of the first parts machined before the start of production.

**Responsibilities**
- Visually inspect first parts—Approval of all initial parts machined by operators/machinist;
- Perform final inspection of complex parts;
- Measure the parts with manual instruments (Vernier and micrometer) and ensure all dimensions meet the requirements of the operation sheets and/ or Engineering drawings;
- Operate and program the CMM: open, edit and run the CMM program;
- Ensure that all quality registers (MPS, final inspection report and NCR when required) are completed and signed;
- Detailed dimensional inspection of First part produced on the machine to ensure 100% compliance to the requirements,
- Complete NCR form;
- Any other task required by management.

**Job qualifications**
- Technical diploma in machining or any other training paired with relevant experience;
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Experience working with a CMM (Mitutoyo and Zeiss);
- Bilingualism French and English (Ability to read and interpret English work instructions);
- Available to work on an Evening Shift;
- Evening shift: 2:30pm to 10:30pm - Additional 2$ premium per hour
- **_The knowledge of the English language is required for the interpretation of instructions and technical requirements from the customer, which may be provided in English only._**
