We’re looking for a Corporate Attorney - Hybrid in Ottawa

Our digital security business is continuing to grow, and we are looking for creative, collaborative and results-driven lawyer to join our digital security legal team. This Corporate Attorney role will play a key part in partnering with Entrust’s digital security Strategic Sales team and other members across the organization. How you will make an impact:
- Partner with our AMS Strategic Sales team to meet revenue targets while managing corporate risk, which includes training Sales on relevant legal topics (e.g., negotiation efficiencies, corporate risk tolerance and other contracting positions, etc.), negotiating and closing complex technology, support and professional services agreements and other types of agreements related to our business in a strategic, practical and timely manner- Collaborate with the legal team and key stakeholders within the organization to build efficiencies and processes into the customer contracting lifecycle to enable scalability (e.g., playbooks, contract standardization, and CMS projects)- Efficiently manage a large volume and variety of transactions and independently prioritize and manage projects effectively- Build strong relationships with internal teams, including legal and cross-functionally, at all levels and coordinate resources to work through contract negotiations- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Entrust’s technology and business practices to appropriately quantify risk and educate internal stakeholders in a business-friendly manner- Adopt an engaging and proactive style of legal practice to best serve internal clients and Entrust’s customers (including channels)- Assist in due diligence and integration efforts associated with Entrust’s acquisitions, as required- Conduct research on applicable laws and regulations regarding commercial and compliance matters- Work in a multi-jurisdictional team environment- The role may include responsibilities in other areas within the legal department

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications- JD (or equivalent) from an accredited law school- Authorized and licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction (including the jurisdiction from which you are working from)- Must be able to lawfully work within the jurisdiction in which you are residing and have unrestricted work authorization- Approximately 4-7 years of relevant, post-law school experience (ideally with at least 2 years in an in-house corporate environment)- Strong skills in interpreting, drafting, and negotiating sophisticated technology contracts (including agreements for hardware, software, managed and hosted services, cloud services/aaS technologies), providing practical and business-oriented advice and with an ability to think strategically and present alternative solutions- Experience supporting Sales, both direct and indirect models, including negotiating managed service provider, OEM, system integrator agreements- A solid understanding of data privacy and information security contractual issues- Ability to travel as necessary (estimated at 10%, if at all)
