**Exhibit Sales / Show Manager**

**Description**
This is a salaried position which offers flexibility and an abundance of paid time off while giving an entry into a challenging, unique, rewarding and fun industry. Show Managers are responsible for selling/booking businesses into booth spaces at our consumer trade shows on Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland and they are also responsible for on-site management duties at events and various other show related tasks as well.
A standard work week is 35 hours at Full Pay and in **June/July/August a standard work week is ONLY 22 hours AT FULL PAY (8:30am-2pm, Mon-Thurs) While also getting a week off Paid at Christmas, one in June + additional 1 week of paid vacation each year as well.**
We are looking for a driven, goal-oriented sales person to join our team and help us continue our reputation as BC’s #1 consumer show producer. Producing events is a fast-paced and engaging sector that rewards problem-solving, accountability, relationship building and customer service.
The majority (95%) of time is spent in our office and the other 5% on site at the events. Events run Friday through Sunday. You will be required to be on site up to all 3 days for our events throughout the spring & fall show seasons.
**Summary of Responsibilities**
- Sell additional promotional opportunities to clients
- Seek new leads for businesses to become exhibitors from a variety of sources, including but not limited to; newspaper, radio, internet searches, other shows/events
- Adding new clients and their information to database
- Strive for and attain/surpass sales targets
- Record sales and update client files as needed
- Develop and further relationships with our exhibitors
- Work with other team members to ensure accuracy of records/bookings and coordinate to resolve issues
- Monitoring deposit and show payments and following up with collections as necessary
- Assisting on-site at shows with general management duties, oversight and exhibitor relations. (Weekends - Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays - about 12 weeks of the year). Some out of town and overnight trips expected depending on show location)
- Proven sales and lead generation experience preferred - experience with phone sales and high volume a plus.
- Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines and deadlines
- general troubleshooting and above average problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage the stress and rejection that can occur during a sales day and maintain positive outlook for success
- Knowledge of client databases & comfortable with data entry and modifications
- Ability to work independently and in group setting when needed
- Experience with event planning/management, sales and affiliated industries a plus. Especially consumer/trade shows
- Driver's License required
**Benefits**
- Base yearly salary paid bi-weekly + seasonal bonuses for hitting sales targets.
