- **Responsibilities of the CAD & Technician include**:_
- Preparing survey base plans (.dwg & PDF files) from GPS and total station field data
- Preparing survey layout data from design & IFC drawings for use in the field
- Creating 3D DTM surfaces from conventional or LiDAR survey data
- Creating vertical profiles for grades, tracks and structural bridge elements
- Checking project control data and adjusting surveys for accuracy
- Communicating with field staff to discuss and clarify survey data
- Combine GPS & total station data with LiDAR data from drones or scanners (prepared by LiDAR Technician) in CAD
- **Requirements include**:_
- Completion of a post-secondary program in Civil Engineering Technology or a similar stream
- Past experience with survey data in a professional or school setting. This includes data processing, adjustments and drawing preparations
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD software
- Strong attention to details
- Excellent written and oral and communication skills
- Able to take direction and learn quickly.
- Personal vehicle or other means of travel to get to and from office (public transit not available)

Typical work day is between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Additional time may be required to meet project deadlines, on an as-needed basis.

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
