**About Musora Media**
At Musora Media, we make it easier to play the songs you love by combining great teachers, organized lessons, and practical technology with student-centred communities.

Jared Falk founded his first online lesson community in 2003 and has been steadily growing online education communities since then. Over time Musora Media has become a multi-faceted business that includes online media properties, digital and physical products, and an online education platform with over 180,000 students.

While we love all instruments, we currently have communities for drums, piano, guitar and voice within our online membership.

Underpinning all of our efforts are two simple goals:

- Create more musicians
- Keep them playing longer

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for helping us create new musicians and developing a culture of continuous learning and self-improvement.

**Job Overview**

As a Data Analyst at Musora, you’ll play a critical role in transforming raw data into insights that are used to inform our strategies to meet our goals. Since the role "Data Analyst" means many things to many people, here are some of the things we expect you’ll do:

- ** Code**: write code in SQL and/or R to answer business questions from our stakeholders. You may also be spending time coding for a large project, like a predictive model.
- **Advise**: be the data expert in the room. Stakeholders often have data questions that they don’t know how to answer. They’ll look to you to advise them on how to use data to make better decisions.
- **Communicate**: as an analyst, you’ll frequently be working with stakeholders. At every step of the process - scoping out a question, working through analysis, and presenting findings - you’ll need to talk through data in a clear, easy-to-understand way.
- **Improve data quality**:identify gaps in our data, hunt down errors, and think through changes to our data pipeline to ensure clean, high-quality data.
- **Discover**: sometimes, it takes the unique perspective of a data expert like you to see a solution that no one else does. As someone who sees the data of all parts of the business, you’ll be looking for ways to leverage data to make great decisions.
