This is an hourly position where you will be responsible for performing all operations required to plan, set up, conduct, and document complex tests and analyses in a laboratory setting to ensure the quality and performance of materials and products according to specified standards and requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Test Planning and Execution:

- Receive assignments, including drawings and verbal instructions.
- Review technical data, secure interpretations, and use technical manuals to supplement data.
- Plan and prepare Laboratory test setups.
- Perform complex tests using hand and machine tools and Laboratory equipment.

**Testing and Measurement**:

- Lay out complex parts and conduct testing procedures.
- Set up test equipment and select appropriate recording and measuring instruments.
- Record test data, prepare test reports, and discuss findings with relevant employees.
- Accept or reject tested material based on gathered data.

**Material Analysis**:

- Perform material analysis of metals, fluids, and non-metallic materials.
- Conduct tests for qualification and retesting for shelf-life issues.

**Chemical Supply Maintenance**:

- Maintain chemical supplies, including limited life adhesives and sealants.
- Control chemical processing tanks and perform water testing and de-ionizing operations.

**Technical Support**:

- Assist and direct other employees performing less complex work.
- Perform other related duties as required by the company.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: Equivalent to high school diploma plus 2 years College/University in a related discipline or equivalent on-the-job experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a laboratory or similar setting.

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in devising test setups and interpreting test results.
- Knowledge of the working characteristics of metal, fiberglass, and plastics.
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications.
- Experience in compiling test data and documenting results.
