Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Residential Energy Modeler to join our team. As a Residential Energy Modeler, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating residential energy systems to optimize energy efficiency and sustainability. Your expertise in mechanical engineering and data analysis will play a crucial role in developing innovative solutions for energy conservation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct energy modeling and analysis for residential buildings using software tools such as EnergyPlus, eQUEST, or similar programs
- Develop accurate and detailed energy models based on architectural plans, schematics, and specifications
- Perform simulations to evaluate the energy performance of buildings under various conditions
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements
- Provide recommendations for building design modifications to optimize energy consumption
- Collect and analyze data related to building systems, equipment, and energy usage
- Assist in the development of energy conservation strategies and initiatives
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in energy modeling techniques

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and building science principles
- Proficiency in software tools such as EnergyPlus, eQUEST, MATLAB, AutoCAD, or similar programs
- Experience with project management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills
- Familiarity with CAD software for reviewing architectural plans and schematics
- Programming skills in C++ or other relevant languages is a plus
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
