Previous experience in first aid, emergency services, search and rescue, or working in public or recreational facilities will give you a strong foundation to grow within this role.

**As manager of the Patrol team operations at WinSport, you will be responsible for public injury incident management and prevention, mentoring and management of the of the Patrol Team and its leaders, as well as managing and overseeing the departments inventory and supplies.**

**Additional Responsibilities Include**:

- Manage the Patrol Team, ensure patrol and first aid services are delivered in accordance with the Department’s Code of Conduct and are coordinated, well-organized, and accountable to WinSport’s operations
- Ensure the provision of first aid is aligned with the Medical Control Protocols and interact with the Medical Director in the governance of the procedural documents
- Maintenance of Patient Care Reports, Witness Statements, Incident reports and other documentation as needed
- Provide assistance in developing, implementing, and auditing the public safety program and policies, including management of operational risk control plans, to ensure continued alignment of the public safety program with best practices and legal and insurance requirements to minimize or alleviate unsafe conditions and prevent accidents
- Assisting with incident investigations
- Inspecting ski/snowboard trails, jumps, and features
- Operating radio and telecommunications equipment following WinSport protocols
- Monitoring, recording, and reporting on all emergency equipment; including AED’s, medical supplies, and first aid kits
- Assisting in all park-wide emergency evacuations (Fire/ Weather)
- Generating statistics and timely reporting on public injuries to identify trends and mitigation action as required
- Ensuring Patrol resources and scheduling meet operational needs, including communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating with Team Leads
- People management of Patrol Team, including oversight of day-to-day operations, payroll, budget, performance reviews, addressing concerns and providing disciplinary action as required, recruitment and training
- Ensuring compliance with posted OH+S advisories, and working closely with department managers to implement a safety-based culture
- Conducting guest discipline as required
- Other duties as delegated

**Qualifications**:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational, and administration skills
- Minimum EMR/AWFA certificate
- 4+ years’ experience in managing workers
- ICS 200+ would be considered an asset
- Proficient ski and/snowboard and mountain biker
- Valid driver’s license class 5 (class 4 is an asset)

**Physical Demands**:
This position is physically demanding due to the nature of skiing and snowboarding, as well as the practice of on-hill extrication. It requires being outside up to 100% of the time during shifts, facing various environmental exposures such as cold, hot, wet, or humid weather, sunlight, wind, and snow. Additionally, there are risks of infectious diseases, needle-stick injuries, and the inherent dangers of skiing and snowboarding. The role involves lifting up to 125 lbs and frequently carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs, and constant kneeling, bending, and twisting.
