Repair and Service Technician

We are looking for a service and repair technician who will be responsible for performing service and rental/training support on MSA detection and protection products for customers and channel partners in the region supported by the support center.
**Responsibilities**:
- Troubleshoot, adjusts, calibrates, modifies or repairs all MSA detection or protection products as required. Inspect and evaluates products to determine service or repair needs in response to customer requests and problems reported.
- Troubleshoot to the failed subassembly, PCB or component using appropriate tools, test equipment and documents.
- Perform repairs, tests and calibrations per the appropriate test specifications and procedures.
- Enter and updates service order transactions on SAP system.
- Provide estimates both verbally to customers or MSA staff.
- Record labor, materials and description of services provided on SAP system and service forms as required. Provide quotes via the SAP quotation or other means as required.
- Complete and maintains associated paperwork.
- Use the SAP system to perform stock checks.
- Pick inventory for product and service orders as needed. Performs pick & post operations on SAP for delivery notes.
- Perform inventory transfers and adjustments as needed.
- Prepare products for shipping as required.
- Perform physical inventory counts when required.
- Keep track of local rental and demo inventory, including sign-in and sign-out of products by sales personnel.
- Provide necessary product and product maintenance training to end users and channel partners.
- Maintain product training resources including products, training equipment and tools.
- Provide technical support to customers, channel partners or MSA staff on MSA detection and protection products as required.
- Interface with customer service, technical support or other MSA staff to provide support.
Qualifications:
This opportunity is available at 3 different levels:
- Level I - Less than 2 years of experience in a repair service or training capacity
- Level II - 2-3 years of experience in a repair service or training capacity
Education Required:
- Two year Degree in electronics or related technical field or equivalent;
- Military training or 2 or more years of experience servicing gas detection instrumentation, SCBA or fall protection products.
