**What will you be doing**
- Preparing Environmental Reviews and/or coordinating various deliverables under an Impact Assessment.
- Conducting frequent field site inspections to ensure the implementation of the mitigation measures and compliance with environmental laws and regulations. Site visits are also required to support the field staff.
- Providing technical reviews and responses to different requests in relation the projects.
- Providing advice and guidance to project proponents and facility staff on Environmental Requirements.
- Assisting the FD team with documentation requiring an environmental SME input.
- Identification and implementation of other environmental legal requirements
- Maintaining cross-functional knowledge spanning the various specialty areas across CNL’s Environmental Protection Program (radiological, non-radiological, groundwater, biodiversity, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.

**What we are looking for**:

- Security clearance eligibility required: Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security”.
- Honours Bachelor in Biology, Science, Environmental or related field from a university of recognized standing or membership in scientific professional organization authorized by statute to establish qualification for membership in that organization.
- Work experience with environmental management best industry practices is required.
- Work experience in a nuclear facility would be desirable.
- Ability to interact effectively with managers and staff of facilities, contractors, and support groups, and to work as a part of a team is required.
- Effective verbal and written communications skills are required.
- Good organizational and project management skills are required.
- Minimum of basic computer skills including working knowledge of MS Office Suite, and familiarity with the use of databases.
- Must be a team-oriented individual.
- Will be required to take CNL Radiation Protection Group 3 training;
- Knowledge of Federal and Ontario environmental laws and regulations is required;
- Familiarity with environmental aspects of the operation of nuclear sites would be highly desirable;
- Experience overseeing projects in the field is required;
- Experience with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and/or the Impact Assessment Act is required.

**Working Conditions**:

- This role will require frequent field walk downs.
- Field work is a cornerstone activity in this role.
- Physically fit, able to be physically active (standing, walking) for up to 7.5 hrs a day.
- This role may have to travel between Deep River and Chalk River sites.
- Office work environment 60% and Field work required 40%
