**NATURE OF POSITION**

Involved in the the day-to-day planning, implementation and evaluation of assigned Mental Health programs. The Summer Student will work to encourage and support member involvement in programs and services offered at The Club

**QUALIFICATIONS (Education and Experience)**
- Must have attended school full time and be returning to school full time in the fall.
- Preference to post-secondary students
- Preferred experience working with persons with a chronic and persistent psychiatric illness
- Preferred training in social group work, recreation, life skills, and psychosocial rehabilitation

**REQUIRED SKILLS (Knowledge and Skills)**
- Excellent organizing and prioritizing skills
- Must be willing to work as part of a team and practice Team Approach
- Preference to those with First Aid/CPR and Food Safe.
- Preference to those with experience with Mental Health or a desire to enter the field.
- Empower others to grow and change
- Conviction that the individual has the capacity to grow and change
- Ability to establish a respectful relationship with persons served to help them gain skills and confidence

**OTHER INFORMATION**
Hours per week: 35 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $18.75 per hour to begin
Expected Start Date: May 2024

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8 weeks

Pay: $18.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
