**What You’ll Do**

The **Warehouse Supervisor, Afternoon shift** is responsible for all day-to-day operations in the distribution warehouse, including the Pre-Hung Department. It is the Warehouse Supervisors obligation to enforce standard operating procedures as well as Metrie’s Policies and Procedures as they may pertain to safety and working efficiencies.

**Key Relationships**: The **Warehouse Supervisor** will report _directly to the_**_ _**_Operations Manager._ The person in this role is a member of the Operations Team and will collaborate with numerous individuals and teams such as sales, manufacturing & supply chain, in order to achieve the branch business goals.

**Location**: This role will be based out of our distribution warehouse in Halton Hills, ON. _COVID-19 Note: To protect the health and safety of our Metrie team members, our operations team is currently following provincial COVID safety guidelines._

At a high-level, you will:

- Create and maintain a safe workplace for all employees
- Coordinate and allocate warehouse personnel on a daily and weekly basis according to the shifting needs of the business.
- Management of the Pre-Hung Supervisor to run the door shop safely, efficiently & effectively. Where & when required, act as the leader of the pre-hung team.
- Management of the Transport Coordinator, to ensure all aspects of freight and shipping are optimized. Where & when required, act as the Transport Coordinator.
- Contribute/active member of the branch Lean committee. Institute operational best practices and reduce process variance and costs by driving continuous improvement through Lean activities
- Collaborate with sales to understand and satisfy our customer’s service expectations. Consistently communicate with sales to optimize warehouse and pre-hung capacity.
- Manage responsibilities associated with key accountabilities such as strategic innovation, financial results, customer focus, employee engagement and safety.

**Who You Are?**

We would love to hear from you if you have:

- Three or more years supervisory experience in a distribution warehouse environment
- Experience in pre-hanging or wood products manufacturing
- Track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Track record of successfully collaborating with customers & other team members
- Strong knowledge of the residential construction industry
- Experience collaborating with various areas within an organization
- Lean experience and credentials (e.g., yellow belt)
- Experience with SAP and MS Office (Excel & Word)
