- Work with all the tools you need. We have invested around 200K in construction vehicles, tools and vehicles since our beginnings. We prefer to use the right tool for the job to maximize productivity. To this end, we are regularly investing in high-quality, reliable tools.
- As residential experts, we are currently working on a wide range of interesting projects ranging from legal Secondary Dwellings Units (SDU) additions to a certified Passive House build to renovating a 13 unit apartment building in Sudbury to renovating luxury single family homes to rental property repairs/upgrades.

**QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS**:
*(Preference will be given to those with a strong background in residential structural framing and leading onsite teams to completion of full renovation projects)*

GIVEN IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE

- Has worked on-the-tools doing residential renovations over a period of at least 5+ years repeatedly doing demo, framing, installing doors and windows, drywall, flooring, trim carpentry, painting, and other non-licensed work AND managed both the materials and people needed to execute whole house renovation projects successfully from A-Z. Ability to use competently operate laser levels, spirit levels, speed square, measuring tape, drills, mitre saw, table saw, paint sprayers, aluminum coil brakes, cordless nailers, mini excavator, demo breaker, concrete saw, lawnmower, trimmer, and more. Ability to drive a cargo van with a dump trailer in tow. Repeated exposure to all aspects of residential construction and renovation. THIS IS NOT A PROJECT MANAGEMENT ROLE. THIS ROLE INVOLVES MOSTLY ONSITE ON-THE-TOOLS WORK. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN A LEAD HAND BEFORE OR DO NOT HAVE EXTENSIVE ON-THE TOOLS EXPERIENCE.

- Ability to read detailed installation/instruction manuals to learn the right way to use new tools/equipment. Ability to read, understand, clarify and follow blueprints. mediums. Other people will need information from you and you will be expected to manage both onsite work and feed information to others who need it in an organized and responsible way. If you would rather work on the tools all day and prefer not to answer your phone, not have to report to others, not work on a team and regularly feed others information, this role is NOT for you.
- Willingness to occasionally travel to job sites as far north as Sudbury, as far east (of GTA) as Belleville, as far west as London and as far east of Hamilton as Niagara Falls.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- BE A PROBLEM SOLVER. You have a cando attitude relative to construction, leading your crew to glory and working with professional caliber subcontractors and suppliers.
- Work weekdays from approximately 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM including 1h of travel time, 1h for lunch and breaks. So working 7.0 hours onsite each day.
- Just prior to starting new projects, prepare preliminary SOWs, related Budget and Schedule to Operations Manager for a high level review and approval.
- You will be responsible for leading a crew to perform ALL non-licensed work that doesn’t require owning very expensive equipment, special training and special insurance coverage.
- Examples of work I would prefer to do in-house:

- Drywall-Boarding and Finishing
- Demo
- Framing including structural work but not including framing new houses
- Decks and fences
- Installing and capping windows and doors
- Siding, paneling
- Concrete prep work (Dig, rough grade, form, final grade, cut)
- Interior and exterior spray painting, cut and roll painting.
- Setting tile in bathrooms, kitchens, front entryways, backsplashes
- Foundation Underpinning
- Exterior and Interior Waterproofing
- You will be responsible for looking for and hiring:
a) licensed subtrade work and

b) highly specialized work.
- Be willing to learn and become skilled at new (non-licensed) trades under the following conditions
