**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of drafters, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Implement and maintain drafting standards and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency within the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new software, and technological advancements related to drafting and design.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement strategies to streamline workflows.
- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations in all drafting work.
- Oversee the utilization of computer-aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools to create and modify drawings.
- Review completed drafts for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements before finalization.
- Coordinate with project managers to provide updates on drafting progress, potential issues, and resource needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve design conflicts and recommend solutions.
- Ensure that projects are completed within established budgets and timelines.
- Participate in meetings, presentations, and discussions to communicate drafting-related information effectively.
- Review and interpret design specifications, sketches, and notes to create detailed and accurate technical drawings and plans.
- Prepare complex BIM/3D models

**Requirements**:

- Graduation from an accredited institute program in Electrical Technology or Technician with OACETT Certification
- 10+ years of relevant design/drafting experience in consulting and/or Energy industry
- Must be proficient with AutoCAD. Knowledge of Microstation is considered an asset
- Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Primtech, Substation 3D, Revit or other 3D modelling software
- Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse group of professionals.
- Experience in the renewable, transmission and distribution field is considered a major asset
- Computer knowledge in MS Office Suite
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Experience in an engineering consulting firm is considered an asset.

**Additional Information**

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
