Caregiver - Support Worker

Looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and patient individual to provide care and companionship for an adult female with special needs (independent and fully mobile) within the community and in their home. Best suited for a female who has previous experience with adult special needs.

**Education**: Minimum 1 year experience in personal support/caregiving

**Responsibilities/Skills**:

- Respite services for the family.
- Companionship and engagement in both physical and mentally stimulating activities appropriate for adults with special needs (exercise, walking, puzzles, games, music, dancing and bowling).
- Able to develop a therapeutic relationship with individuals, to develop a supportive relationship that encourages independence.
- Experience with all forms of personal care.
- Assist with personal hygiene.
- Light housework and meal preparation experience.
- Reading and writing English fluently.
- Driver’s License and access to a vehicle.

**Requirements**: Must have current Vulnerable Sector Screening (within past 6 months) or be willing to obtain one

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 2-25 per week

**Salary**: $15.50-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Weekend availability
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Georgina, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: One location

Expected start date: 2023-02-28
