Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Powersports Service Writer. As a Service Writer, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our powersports/marine service department. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical knowledge and a passion for the powersports/marine industry.
**Duties**:
- Greet customers and assist them with their service needs
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document them
- Provide recommendations for necessary repairs and maintenance based on mechanic's assessments
- Upsell additional services or products to enhance the customer's vehicle performance and safety
- Schedule appointments and manage the service department's daily workflow
- Communicate with mechanics to ensure timely completion of repairs
- Provide regular updates to customers regarding the status of their vehicles
- Handle cash transactions, including collecting payments for services rendered
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, repairs, and payments
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a powersports or marine dealership or repair shop
- Strong mechanical knowledge to effectively communicate with mechanics and understand repair recommendations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and resolve customer concerns
- Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to upsell services and products
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic math skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage appointments and workflow efficiently

**Salary**: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
