Responsible for coordinating home care clients. Ensure all necessary documentation is collected and orders are correctly processed for billing. Maintain detailed order logs in iCARE system. Assist in handling phone calls and inquiries from the outside staff. Ensure that standards for technical efficiency, quality control, Ministry of Health and other government regulations are adhered to. Assigning Health Professionals to complete orders efficiently to minimizing mileage costs.

Dynacare is looking to hire a casual Homecare Coordinator to work minimum 10hrs per week. with the opportunity for additional hrs. to cover vacation/sick hrs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in maintaining the daily operational and functional workflow and to uphold a high level of service by delivering a prompt, courteous and professional service to all Health Professionals and clients.
- Responsible for coordinating house call client bookings and assignments.
- Assists with problem solving in the house call department.
- Responsible for scheduling, vacation, sick time, special projects
- Prepare payroll timesheets and mileage logs - Validate payment submitted daily
- Assist in answering questions from Nursing Homes, Retirement Homes and clients including technical, procedural and administrative questions. Ensure all inquiries and problems are handled in a courteous and professional manner.
- Liaisons with department Manager to assist with non-routine concerns.
- Assist with distribution of correspondence to Mobile Services Health Professionals.
- Maintain and distributes home care logs for billing and record keeping
- Responsible for data entry of standing orders from nursing homes, retirement homes and house call patients as required responsible for entering all orders in Icare, scheduling Nursing Home, Retirement home and house call visits, updating files and ensuring accuracy.

Key Requirements:

- Graduate of Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent an asset
- Technical Skills
- Data enters and verifies the completeness of all patient demographics and requisitions that are OHIP and non-OHIP
- Excellent data entry skills
- Manage and Maintain HP routes to ensure customers are serviced appropriately.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative
- Sound decision maker who can function independently
