Worship Coordinator

Chippawa Presbyterian Church is currently seeking a new Worship Coordinator to lead theirministry and provide the musical direction for their regular worship experiences. As theWorship Coordinator, you will be responsible for curating the soundtrack of worship servicesand ensuring a meaningful and engaging experience for the congregation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Select and prepare appropriate music for worship services in consultation with the church leadership and pastor.
- Lead congregational singing during worship services, either through playing an instrument or coaching and directing vocalists on the Praise Team
- Coordinate with musicians, vocalists, and other worship team members to ensure smooth execution of music during services.
- Assist in planning special musical events and programs throughout the year, such as Christmas concerts or Easter services.
- Work closely with the pastor and other church staff to align the musical selections with the overall theme and message of each service.
- Maintain and organize the church's music library, including sheet music, recordings, and audiovisual equipment.
- Recruit and develop musical talents within the congregation, encouraging participation and involvement in the worship ministry.
- Stay updated with current worship trends and music resources to enhance the worship experience.

Contract Details:

- Contract position
- Remuneration: $1000 per month
- Based on four Sundays per month
- Additional compensation for months with a fifth Sunday in accordance with CPC practices and principles.

**Requirements**:

- Strong musical skills, with proficiency in playing an instrument
- Knowledge of various worship music genres
- Ability to lead congregational singing and engage the congregation in worship.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in worship coordination or similar roles preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with the mission, vision, and values of Chippawa Presbyterian Church is beneficial.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5 per week

**Salary**: $1,000.00 per month
