**SCOPE OF WORK**:
The Site Supervisor for Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton is responsible for the oversight and on-going management of the affiliate’s home construction activities. This is a working supervisory position. As such, it is expected that the incumbent will not only supervise but will work side-by-side with volunteers on build or renovation projects if/as required.

**REPORTS TO**:
The incumbent Site Supervisor is a direct report of the Director of Build Services and a line report of the CEO.

**SCOPE OF AUTHORITY**:
The Site Supervisor is responsible for providing oversight, direction and support to build site volunteer crew leaders and build volunteers.

The nature of the position is such that the incumbent must be a superior communicator able to engage in and facilitate clear, consistent and timely communications with all of HFHS/L’s stakeholder groups.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES**:
Build Site Health & Safety
- Responsible for oversight and management of build site safety understanding that the safety of our build staff and build volunteers is the highest build site priority;
- At the direction of the Director of Build Services, the Construction supervisor is to ensure that appropriate build site health and safety policies and procedures are in place as per HFH Canada, municipal, provincial and federal guidelines;
- Conducts daily truck and trailer inspections per affiliate protocols;
- Conducts daily build site inspections with an eye to spotting and resolving potential safety issues;
- Completes monthly first aid inspections;
- Completes monthly health & safety reports according to established affiliate protocols; and
- Ensures that all site preparations are in place to support each build (fencing, signage, portable toilets, storage, parking and the like).

**Building & Build Site Management**
- As required, will build side-by-side with volunteers and teach/coach/mentor them in building best practices if/as appropriate;
- In liaison with the Director of Build Services, is responsible for ensuring all materials are procured and on-site for each build day;
- Provides on-site oversight to the work of professional trades;
- Secures approval for any changes to the scope of work from the Director of Build Services;
- Is the principle on-site HFHS/L staff member attending and providing supervisory oversight at all builds with regard to quality of work, safety and stewardship of accepted practices;
- Ensures volunteer sign-in sheets are completed, then submitted in a timely manner to the Volunteer/Family Services coordinator for tracking/tabulation as appropriate;
- As a front-line ambassador of Habitat Sarnia/Lambton, behaves, at all times, in a manner that is exemplary in terms of the respect, kindness, friendliness, welcome and gratitude demonstrated to build site volunteers and other Habitat stakeholders;
- Is responsible for his/her assigned build site trailer inclusive of maintaining an accurate annual inventory of tools, supplies and equipment and for ensuring that the trailer is maintained to an acceptable organizational standard; and
- Undertakes any other duties or responsibilities as may be required by the Director of Build Services or the CEO from time to time.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
