Tracia’s Trust is Manitoba’s Provincial Sexual Exploitation Strategy. The Department of Families is the lead department for this provincial strategy, with the Child and Family Services Division responsible to lead and/or coordinate more than 40 initiatives under the strategy. The STR Supervisor is responsible to provide expert advice and guidance to this provincial strategy and to provide coverage to the Manager of the Sexual Exploitation Programs on Tracia’s Trust initiatives, as needed.

Qualifications:
Essential:

- Post secondary degree in social services (BSW, MSW preferred) with child welfare experience. Other acceptable combinations of education and related experience may be considered.
- Significant experience in sexual exploitation prevention and intervention.
- Strong critical thinking skills including the ability to analyze complex problems and recommend viable and solutions.
- Ability to form collaborative working relationships with communities, interdepartmental partners and non government service providers to coordinate multi-system activities and create opportunities for solutions that meet multiple needs.
- Experience in the development and delivery of training and/or presentations.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate messages in a clear and consistent manner and to resolve conflict constructively.
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, regulations and standards regarding child exploitation.
- Knowledge of Child Welfare System and applicable legislation, policy and practices.

**Duties**:
The primary responsibility of the StreetReach (STR) Supervisor is to ensure and oversee the day
- to-day operations of the STR program, including the direct supervision of the STR workers for all work functions related to service delivery. The STR Supervisor is directly responsible for ensuring that the STR workers are clear on roles and responsibilities including their authority as per the CFS Act. The incumbent is responsible for providing dynamic professional leadership to the STR workers to provide and strengthen client services to this high risk population. They are expected to develop specialized skills within the STR unit so that they are able to identify/assess risk and intervene in potentially volatile or sensitive case situations.
