**Job Description**:
CEDA is currently seeking Equipment Operators for our Sarnia location based at the IOL Nanticoke site. Equipment Operators are needed to assist in all aspects of the industrial cleaning industry, and will operate and maintain a variety of industrial cleaning equipment including but not limited to vacuum trucks, and combo units.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Operate and maintain vacuum trucks, high pressure/water trucks, combo units and various specialty tools
- 90% of your day is outside of the truck, boots on the ground
- Work safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor intensive capacity
- Climb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment - our experienced crew has your back
- Ensure safety for all team members and property
- Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervision
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Learn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipment
- Complete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports and safety documents
- Challenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every time
- Provide guidance to Laborers as required
- Strictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Class DZ licence with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is required
- Driving is in your nature, a manual transmission is a breeze (10, 13 speed, doesn’t matter you will pass CEDA’s driver assessment with flying colours)
- Experience with Fluid Hauling, Vacuum and High Pressure experience in an industrial environment is an asset
- Experience in an industrial environment is an asset
- Exposure/familiarity with Imperial Oil’s loss prevention system is an asset
- Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Able to travel throughout Region, and be available for on call (flexibility in scheduling is required)
- Reliable transportation to site is required

**Skills**:

- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Very comfortable with manual transmissions
- Safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
- Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
- Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment and air supply; wearing a full face mask and carrying your own source of oxygen
- Enjoy working outdoors the majority of the time in varied weather conditions
