**RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS**

**Performance Expectations**
- The RMM is accountable for taking a highly collaborative approach to working with the Senior director, Marketing, Eastern Canada, and the service and client group leaders within the Eastern Ontario region, to understand their business objectives and translate these into marketing strategies, plans and activities which drive our brand awareness, positioning and create sales opportunities for our practitioners
- Work with and adhere to firm processes and best practices, including the use of consistent marketing and budget templates
- Obtain plan approval, develop and lead the implementation of all office, client group and service-specific marketing strategies, programs and activities for the region in order to support existing client retention, targeted pursuit plans and referral mapping for Ottawa, Gatineau, Kingston, Brockville, Cornwall and Hawkesbury
- Develop creative campaign briefs and lead concept development phases
- Measure, understand and report on the impact of marketing activities, including using the firm’s ‘Performance Reporting’ methodology (where applicable) as well as lead tracking. Analyze the reporting information and make recommendations / adjustments to plans and programs where required.
- Manage and monitor the region’s budgets, analyzing variances between planned and actual spend (recommending corrective actions as necessary)
- Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic sponsorships of all sizes
- Organize client prospect programs in conjunction with internal resources and internal marketing-related initiatives
- Maintain brand and positioning with MNP properties and utilize marketing materials and collateral including promotional items, brochures and tradeshow equipment.
- Understand vendor arrangements/structures and develop and maintain those relationships
- Build strategic alliances and foster marketing relationships with key stakeholders in the external marketplace
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in region (e.g. RMP and regional niche / service line leaders and partners)
- Build profile and relationships in regional marketplace, including with local influencers, media and community (e.g. through attendance at local events)
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes while effectively using MNP internal programs and systems
- Conduct regional marketing intelligence activities such as understanding the competitive environment, MNP market share and brand positioning
- Maintain awareness of changes to regional marketplace, study economic indicators in the region and identify current and future market trends
- Provide overall direction for regional marketing team and set expectations for team
- Develop, coach, and mentor team members, including a marketing coordinator, towards professional and personal development
- Ensure a high standard of performance by providing regular feedback to direct reports and conducting formal, written annual performance reviews
- Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness

***Skills and Experience**
- Completion of a post-secondary degree in Marketing
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a marketing capacity and a demonstrated understanding of the entire marketing process
- Experience working in a professional services environment or marketing agency environment considered an asset
- Understanding and experience working in the local marketplace is an asset
- Understanding of how to build and reinforce effective working relationships within and across teams and with key stakeholders
- Strong Project Management skills
- Possess strong presentation and reporting skills
- Possess business development skills and knowledge
- Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Database Marketing Software and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with web, digital and social media platforms
- A valid driver’s license is necessary as travel will be required
