**Financial Project Specialist**

Location: In Office - Winnipeg, Manitoba

Lotlinx is seeking a hands-on Financial Project Specialist who is not only skilled in managing projects but is also actively involved in executing tasks and scoping work to help shape the future of our financial operations.

As a Financial Project Specialist in our Operations department, you will lead and execute complex financial projects, manage budgets, focus on automation and just-in-time (JIT) financial and business reporting, develop forward-thinking strategies, and ensure our projects stay on track. We are looking for an individual with a strong background in financial project management, a PMP certification, financial analysis and planning, and business intelligence with a minimum of 8 years of experience who is eager to dive deep into the details with a get-it-done mentality and attitude.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and manage comprehensive project financial plans, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management
- Focus on automation, efficiency and accuracy of the data and sources
- Own financial reporting and manage financial/BI tools
- Ensure financial data from overall company metrics and KPIs to specific on-off reports are readily and easily accessible
- Drive continuous improvement in financial project management processes and best practices
- Contribute to the development and implementation of forward-thinking FinOps strategies and initiatives
- Ensure projects adhere to financial regulations, industry standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential financial risks and challenges
- Evaluate the financial viability of projects through investment analysis and ROI evaluation
- Help with procurement processes and contract negotiations, securing resources at the best possible prices
- Monitor and control project costs, providing regular financial updates and reports to stakeholders

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, and/or a related field
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial project specialist, financial project management, financial operations lead or a related role
- Strong understanding of financial principles, tools, and best practices
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Proficiency in project management software and financial analysis tools
- Proficiency in BI tools
- A visionary mindset and a passion for driving innovation in financial operations
