Purpose:
Our Room Checkers support the Delta Regina Housekeeping team throughout all areas of the hotel. Whether it is a guest room, public space, office space or laundry, our Room Checkers support the team and ensure our guests have an amazing experience. They have strong attention to detail and uphold all manner of brand standards.

Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Fluent in English, written, verbal and reading. Must possess excellent time management, organizational and problem solving skills.
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in hotel environment
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and reading)
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Effective problem solving skills

Proficient/familiarity with Microsoft Office, Opera PMS and/or QUORE is an asset. Must be available mornings, evenings and weekends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Inspect rooms cleaned by assigned Room Attendants and take corrective actions on deficiencies to ensure Brand standards are met and exceeded
- Inspect public areas/bathrooms, fitness center, pool area, offices and service areas after being cleaned by Public Area Cleaners. Ensure that cleanliness and condition of each area meets Brand standards.
- Identifies improvements, efficiencies, and deficiencies and report any maintenance or repair issues
- Verify room status on AM report. Check vacant rooms and update discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
- Supports and assists the Housekeeping, House person & Laundry teams as required
- Assists in a monthly inventory count and inputs and compiles inventory data when necessary.
