Childcare Floater/cleaner

**_Job purpose: _**
The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for maintaining the highest level of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the Daycare premises and be able to assist educators in class in the event a staff is absent or if the Supervisor or Director requests their help in the classroom.

**_Qualifications: _**
- High School with relevant experience
- Standard first aid/CPR Level C
- Vulnerable Sector screening
- Medical screening

**_Main duties and responsibilities: _**
- Ensuring the daily thorough cleaning of all Daycare rooms including floor coverings, walls and paintwork, windows etc.
- Ensuring the daily thorough cleaning of all Daycare furniture and equipment
- Ensuring the daily thorough cleaning of Daycare kitchens including equipment such as microwaves, fridges and kitchen cupboards etc.
- Ensuring the daily thorough cleaning of playground.
- Ensuring the daily thorough cleaning of child and staff toilet areas
- Ensuring the daily thorough cleaning of other Daycare areas including corridors, hallways, nurse room and all other areas of the Daycare
- Maintaining sufficient supplies of domestic consumables e.g. Paper towels, toilet rolls, liquid soap, cleaning materials etc.
- Propose ways to keep the Daycare clean (ex. Changing materials, suppliers, damage equipment)
- Moving of furniture may be necessary
- Prepare list of damage and repair each Friday and hand it to the Administration.
- Following the timeline of the Daycare to clean the area accordingly (early in the morning out and reception, etc.)
- Undertake any other duties as may be required from the Supervisor or Director.
- Changing diapers for babies
- Supervising children's meals
- Cleaning and washing up after children's meals
- To ensure high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained at all times.
- To ensure that any information received concerning the children is kept confidential at all times.
- To work as part of a team and support colleagues.
- To be prepared to help when other areas of the pre-school may be short staffed, or with domestic duties or other duties as specified by the pre-school manager.
