We are currently looking for a Materials Technician with A variety of experience for project work based in Corner Brook and surrounding areas.
**A Day in the Life**
You will conduct laboratory and field testing primarily focused on concrete, and perform quality control and quality assurance management, and monitoring. This role executes and may coordinate field testing activities and works primarily within a small crew to provide quality control management on small to medium sized projects. You will collect, prepare and review field notes and relate data to clients or direct supervisor.
**What You’ll Bring to the Team**
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Related field testing experience, including but not limited to soil, concrete or asphalt.
- Experience in asphalt testing considered an asset
- CCIL certification (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills and analytical abilities
- Technical competence and attention to detail
- Ability to work a variety of shifts is required
- A high level of dependability
- A valid driver’s license is required
- Preference given to those local to NFLD
