The Surveyor is responsible to assist for conducting field surveys in various aspects for construction of the project with high level of accuracy, ensuring the design criteria is adhered to and well documented. Must handle with care of all instruments and accessories, and responsible to take the instrumentation from/to the field.

**Responsibilities**

Below are some of the responsibilities our accountant is expected to assume in their position, but not limited to:

- Conduct day to day layout and grading tasks in accordance with project design and ensure measurement of correct distances.
- Coordinate and undertake planning and implementation of survey requirements to facilitate construction activities.
- Mark and label survey points and record field data according to job specifications.
- Maintain and verify site control points and local benchmarks.
- Prepare layout data from digital design files competently.
- Download and manage field survey data and make digital records ready for processing and documentation to implement quantity and as-built surveys in AutoCAD.
- Provide clear survey notes and sketches for each control line and grade shot taken and check calculations.
- Conduct field topographic survey pickups and troubleshoot survey layouts.
- Coordinate field details, site inspections, and liaise with field superintendent.
- Assist in implementing and monitoring the quality control, safety, and environment programs.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated.

**Required Knowledge and Experience**
- Post Secondary education in Surveying, Geomatics or Civil Engineering.
- Knowledge of fundamentals of surveying, trigonometry, mapmaking, and the methods, principles, and practice of surveying.
- Experience with the GPS and total station required.
- Minimum 2+ years experience in Construction surveying industry would be considered an asset.
- Knowledge of engineering design and survey methods.
- Strong Computer skills and the ability to use AutoCAD.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Available to travel to various projects.
- Ability to climb over rough terrain.
- Driver’s license (Class G). Driver’s Abstract required.
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills with a high level of dependability.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
