The Parks Canada team working at the National Park Reserve of the Archipelago Mingan includes 20 employees nearly 50 people in the summer. The fieldwork, exclusively on islands, requires travel which is provided by Parks Canada boat operators. Departures are from the marina of Havre-Saint-Pierre or Mingan.

**Intent of the process**:
A Term employment until March 31, 2026 is offered. This process could be used to fill positions similar or similar temporary term or permanent.

EDUCATION:
Graduation from an accredited university with an undergraduate degree in resource management, conservation or other environmental science related to the duties of the position (environmental science includes biology, ecology, soil science and geography).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:

- Experience in study design, execution, analysis, and writing of complex technical/scientific reports in at least three of the following areas: ecosystem monitoring, active management, restoration, species at risk recovery, or environmental impact assessment;
- Experience collecting, organizing, summarizing and analyzing scientific information from a variety of sources;
- Experience supervising staff.

EXPERIENCE:

- Experience in remote sensing data acquisition and processing.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Willingness and ability to wear a Parks Canada uniform and prescribed protective equipment;
- Willingness and ability to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation;
- Willingness and ability to work irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or statutory holidays and provincial/territorial holidays, when required;
- Willingness to obtain the required certification and willingness to operate field vehicles (e.g. all-terrain vehicles) and motorized and non-motorized vessels;
- Hold or be able to obtain a Remote First Aid Certificate appropriate to the marine work environment.
