The Maintenance Supervisor is focused on providing communication and training to the Maintenance team, as well as ensuring efficiency of production on the machines. The Maintenance Supervisor will support shift coverage and support the Maintenance Team with escalated issues, work-order prioritizing, and guide the diagnosis and development of solutions for any issues that arise.

**Responsible for**:

- Day to day safe operation of the plant within the area of control
- No LTI's (Lost time Injuries) and ensures safe workplace including identification of known risks and controls and escalation of larger issues through Behavior Safety Observation (BOS)
- Provide support in facility related projects and preventative maintenance tasks
- Follow and comply with Cube Management System (CMS)

**Duties**:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure a safe workplace by the support and maintenance of pro-active safety systems including LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out)
- Develop Preventative Maintenance (PM) master plan
- Conduct weekly Preventative Maintenance (PM) meetings and review downtime analysis
- Conduct weekly breakdown analysis review
- Measure MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure) MTTR (Mean Time To Repair) and develop a plan to increase the MTBF and reduce MTTR
- Develop improvement activities aimed at correcting weaknesses and prolonging working life of the equipment through corrective maintenance
- Identify training needs for team through skills matrix and support training programs to meet learning outcomes. Initiate and supports training.
- Coordinate equipment and building facility maintenance activities at the plant, including capital projects with support of corporate engineering to maximize equipment reliability, efficiency and cost
- Develop, analyze and recommend strategic and tactical initiatives to reduce costs and improve total asset performance
- Ensure an effective preventative maintenance program is in place, reducing equipment downtime and increasing equipment uptime along with Operating Equipment Efficiency (OEE)
- Champion OEE improvement initiatives, as well as selection, implementation and monitoring of equipment reliability improvement plans
- Responsible for recruitment needs for the maintenance department, including interviewing, orientation, and training of new hires

**Skills/ Experience**
- Minimum three (3) years’ experience in direct supervision of Engineering/Maintenance/Production staff in a manufacturing environment
- Electrical Engineering preferred 442A- in addition 433A and asset
- Experience using Lean Six Sigma improvement tools an asset
- Experience developing Continuous Improvements in production an asset
- Experience working in a consumer-packaged goods manufacturing environment
- Familiarity and understanding of machinery (experience with packaging equipment is an asset), electrical/automation controls and Maintenance, Repair and Operations MRO
- Demonstrated hands-on leadership and coaching abilities - able to demonstrate several examples of empowering, developing and motivating people
- Demonstrated ability to develop corporate/business relationships along with keen business acumen.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Effective problem resolution skills combined with “big picture” awareness
- Proficient computer aptitude for Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SAP software systems
- Occasional local travel may be required

**Salary**: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
