**SCOPE**
Reporting to the Manager, Employee Services, the incumbent provides front-line reception services and a high level of customer service to the University community, pertaining to Human Resources. They assure the accuracy of data by verifying documentation that is created as well as retrieving missing data or correcting information and processing a variety of transactions related to an employee’s employment life cycle.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Administer the employee ID cards process and the distribution of tuition waivers to eligible staff and faculty. Reply to Third Party Request requesting employment verification/confirmation. Produce letters of attestation for employees within the University as required.
- Contribute to helping maintain various information and knowledge repositories for the unit such as the online Query Sharepoint and the current knowledge base, support the unit in supporting our employees.
- Assist employees with self-serve platform and answer inquiries regarding benefits, payroll, pension and other pertinent information. Consult employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for employee actions, as required.
- Process a variety of documentation pertaining to human resources benefits, programs, pays and all other aspects of an employee’s employment life cycle. (I.e. new hires, employee changes, tuition waivers etc.), as required.
- Provide support for mass mailings, and create labels and informational listings from HRIS and mails to departments.
- Maintain and update a procedure manual for the reception desk.
- Sort, distribute and date stamp departmental mail and general information coming into the Department
- Perform other duties as requested by immediate supervisor.

**QUALFICATIONS**:

- Attestation of Collegial Studies (ACS) in Office Technology, or in another field pertinent to the primary responsibilities, and four to seven years of related work experience in human resources or customer service environment.
- Good knowledge (Level 4) of spoken and written English and French in order to respond to inquiries and prepare forms and correspondence.
- Good knowledge (Intermediate level) of MS Word to create and format various types of documents; basic knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently; and be accountable for data integrity.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with proven experience working with the public.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, highly diverse environment.
- High degree of tact and understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality.
- Genuine interest and desire to assist with customer service and problem solving.
- Patience and empathy.
- Team player who enjoys working with the public and can deal with a high volume of inquiries and requests.
- Knowledge of Concordia University or Higher education is desirable.
- Previous experience working with an HRIS or ERP system (SAP SuccessFactors) is an asset.
