The Bioinformatics Consultant has the following responsibilities and duties:

- Collaboratively and pragmatically solve scientific software engineering challenges encountered at the forefront of single cell multi-omics and spatial data analysis infrastructure.
- Work with computational scientists, and other software engineers to understand and conceptualize the complex, emerging needs of our scientists, whether they are working at the keyboard or the bench.
- Maintain and improve the existing Cumulus framework to serve researchers.
- Develop, test, and deploy new WDL workflows for novel single-cell technologies.
- Investigate the pilot deployment of Cumulus framework on Cloud which includes Terra + Google Cloud (GCP), AWS Omics, etc.
- Collaborate with local and offshore engineering teams to support your software development efforts.
- Contribute to the broader scientific community through open-source software development.
- Maintain and improve the existing Pegasus package, which is a Python package for single-cell data analysis.
