Risk and Compliance Manager

**The opportunity**:
The Risk and Compliance Manager will oversee the organizations’ comprehensive risk management program, assessing and identifying risks that could impede the reputation, safety and security of the organization. This person will continually evaluate the readiness of security and regulatory compliance tactical operations to ensure security and regulatory compliance program effectiveness and compliance to government directives and Top Aces policies.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Designs and implements an overall risk management process for the organization;
- Conducts risk assessments, collecting and analyzing documentation, statistics, reports, and market trends;
- Establishes policies and procedures to identify and address risks in the organization’s services and departments;
- Reviews and assesses risk management policies and protocols; makes recommendations and implements modifications and improvements;
- Recommends and implements risk management solutions such as safety and security policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures;
- Conducts policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors;
- Reviews any new major contracts or internal business proposals;
- Builds risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company;
- Reviews and analyzes metrics and data such as cash flow, inventory, breakage, and employee activity that could uncover fraudulent behavior;
- Drafts and presents risk reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff. Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience. (Educating the board of directors about the most significant risks to the business; ensuring business heads understand the risks that might affect their departments; ensuring individuals understand their own accountability for individual risks);
- Develops and implements security and regulatory compliance tailored processes and procedures throughout Top Aces in various fields including lobbying, trade compliance, anti-corruption, explosive licensing, and the implementation of the Charter of the French Language;
- Develops and implements a governance plan for security and regulatory compliance;
- Develops and conducts security and regulatory compliance training and interact with employees at all levels of the organization and relevant third parties, including suppliers, to build awareness on the importance of compliance and ethics;
- Maintains records for security and regulatory compliance;
- Performs other duties as directed.

***Education and/or Work Experience Requirements**:
- Bachelors degree in business or related field
- At least 5+ years of related experience
- Experience in Risk Management, Finance, International Law or related field required.
- Previous experience with Cyber security, Export Control (CGP, ITARS etc..) & CSP preferred.
**Special Working Conditions**
- Ability to travel and work varying hours to accommodate a global workforce, as needed.
**Security Clearance Requirements/ CGP / ITAR**:
- Position requires Level II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
