Landscaping Team Member

Landscaping Team Member

Reporting to the Landscaping Team Lead and Operations Manager, this role assists with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of Hansbraun properties. Landscape team members will be responsible for performing a variety of work tasks to complete grounds maintenance in our commercial properties.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Daily management of properties; including cleanliness, planting, digging, raking, and hauling landscape products like soil, mulch, sod, trees, shrubs, and more
- Cut and trim grass, spring and fall clean ups, blow trimmings, weeding and pruning
- Work with hand tools, power tools, and small engine equipment
- Operate power equipment including (but not limited to) mowers, line trimmers, blowers
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on landscaping vehicles, tools and equipment
- Snow removal and salting as needed
- Ability to walk, stand, or crouch for long periods, carry out strenuous physical tasks, and safely lift heavy loads
- Ability to work in high traffic areas efficiently, while still maintaining both public and personal safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Work outdoors in various conditions
- Complete assigned tasks and inspection checklists as required
- Attend team meetings as scheduled
- Record work/task details in applicable logs books, timesheets and company database

Additional Requirements:

- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Knowledge of landscaping materials, methods, tools and equipment
- Horticultural knowledge of perennial shrubs and plant identification. Knowledge of flowering annuals, perennials and trees is an asset
- Comfortable working at heights
