CARPENTER'S APPRENTICE

ABOUT US

Anvil West Construction specializes in framing and forming high end custom homes based primarily out of the west side of Vancouver. As a company, we place a high degree of emphasis on team building, training, mentorship and professionalism and are looking to hire a Carpenters Apprentice that also values these qualities and is looking for long-term employment with a reputable company.. As a Company we offer a number of benefits which include the following:

- Tuition fees for Red Seal Carpentry Program paid for by the Company
- STAT pay

IDEAL CANDIDATE

JOB SKILLS
- You are able to cut clean straight lines
- You are able to use some of the following power tools
(Skill saw, Sawzall, Nail gun, Angle grinder, Level, Framing square etc..)
- You are able to build and sheathe walls based on framing layouts
- You are able to make accurate bevel and miter cuts
- You have some prior experience building footings, foundation walls, retaining walls or columns
- You have some prior experience with residential or commercial wood framing

PERSONALITY TRAITS
- You’re a hard worker who keeps busy and is not easily bothered by weather conditions
- You can listen and take directions from senior team members and ask questions when you are unsure of the instructions or assignment you’ve been given.
- You posses good attention to detail and take pride in your work
- You are punctual and consistently show up on time for work

(Note: All job sites are located near bus routes)

OTHER EXPECTATIONS
- You are physically fit and do not have pre-existing injuries that would inhibit you in doing your job.
- You are able to lift 75lbs.
