Phlebotomist

**Overview**
We are seeking a skilled phlebotomist to perform the plasma pheresis procedure on plasma donors. The Phlebotomist is responsible for the efficient and effective collection of plasma from donors by performing venipuncture, monitoring the pheresis process and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
**Responsibilities**
- Welcomes and engages donors.
- Sets up and operates apheresis machines for each procedure.
- Sets up daily clinic duties as required.
- Performs phlebotomy while ensuring donor safety and comfort.
- Collects whole blood samples from donors when required.
- Monitors donors during the donation process.
- Collaborates with team members as required.
- Assesses donor for signs of an adverse reaction and taking necessary steps for immediate action including performing medical first aid as required.
- Disconnects the donors from the apheresis machine at the completion of each donation.
- Educating donors on recovery period and post-procedure expectations

- Excellent interpersonal skills and bedside manner and ability to develop good rapport with new and existing donors

- Phlebotomy for plasma donation
- Precise Venipuncture skills
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 40 per week

- Phlebotomy: 2 years (required)
