Landscape Maintenance Lead Hand

_**RD Landscaping**_ _is a full-service landscape company providing professional residential and commercial landscape construction, maintenance, hardscapes, and irrigation installations in _**Kelowna**_ _and the _**surrounding area.**_

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for leading, managing and training a team of 2+ employees.
- The ability to interact with clients and be the face of the organization while on site is imperative.
- Use proper techniques while pruning and trimming bushes, shrubs and trees.
- Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscaped environments.
- Dig, lift, operate small machines, load tools and equipment on and off trucks and trailers,
- Utilize various line and hedge trimmers, hand-held power tools, lawn mowers and motorized equipment.
- Plant knowledge and proper pruning techniques are required.

**Qualifications**:

- Punctual, reliable, and attention to detail
- we take pride in our work.
- Ability to work outdoors in a wide variety of weather conditions.
- Strong knowledge of plants, trees, and shrubs native to the Okanagan.
- Have 2+ years practical experience leading, teaching and training a team.
- Have the ability and experience driving a truck and trailer.
- Experience installing turf, garden and shrub beds, turf cutters, planting trees and shrubs an asset.
- Valid BC Driver's License and/or a reliable means of transportation.
- Having a B.C Applicators license would be an asset, but not required.
- Possess the ability to lead a crew of 2 or more staff members.
- Motivated, physically fit, and able to lift 50lbs repeatedly.
- A willingness to learn new things and a positive attitude.

**Salary**: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
