**Job Summary**

The Caretaking Attendant serves the mission of the YMCA of Lethbridge by ensuring it is clean, safe, and sanitized. The main goals of this position are:
1. Maintaining the cleanliness of the facility during operating hours

2. Sanitizing the facility between user groups

3. Monitoring and reporting any damaged property

- All YMCA caretaking staff and volunteers
- YMCA of Lethbridge members and facility users

**Nature & Scope**

The Caretaking Attendants will support the caretaking department, the responsibilities for this position are, but not limited to:

- Ensuring cleanliness and sanitization of the facility and associated property
- Adhering to and demonstrating the SAM Standards during daily operations
- Operating cleaning machines while adhering to safety regulations and best practices
- Monitoring equipment to ensure it is clean, in good repair, and safety hazards are identified
- Providing an enjoyable experience to users while building positive relationships with members, patrons, volunteers, and other YMCA staff
- Monitoring the general safety and maintenance of the amenities and public areas, reporting concerns forward to a Caretaking Team Lead
- Ensuring YMCA policies and procedures are always being met and maintained
- Attending all required YMCA training, recertifications and in-service trainings

**Physical/Special Demands**
- This position involves prolonged standing
- This position may include the ability to lift 20 kg

**Qualifications and Experience**
- 1 year of caretaking experience
- Volunteer work in related area (considered an asset)
- Current Intermediate Aid and CPR Level C certifications
- Evidence of an acceptable Police Information Check
- Evidence of an acceptable Child Intervention Check

Three professional references required

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16-20 per week

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Lethbridge, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Cleaning: 1 year (preferred)
- janitorial: 1 year (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
