Position Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the MRO Buyer is responsible for all Procurement activities for the Maintenance team and various plant support functions, including administration. This includes processing of requisitions, sourcing materials, reporting pertaining to these duties and the full PO process.

Key Accountabilities
- Procurement activities for the Maintenance function and other plant support groups.
- Working closely with all plant maintenance and provide assistance in development of sourcing strategies of MRO indirect materials, equipment, supplies and services.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships across varied internal functions as well as with external contractors, vendors and suppliers, to influence change and drive results.
- Assist plant with audits of spare parts inventory, receive invoices, and process paperwork.
- Promote population, maintenance and use of maintenance management software;
- Utilization of strategic methods to reduce MRO spend.
- Working with all maintenance team members to build sustainable improvements for parts rooms, processes and methods.

**Requirements**:

- Experience with electronic maintenance management and sourcing tools (i.e. AS400, eMaint)
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with all levels of employees as well as internal and external customers, to influence and drive positive change.
- Strong negotiation, problem solving, analytical, strategic planning, results driven, execution and customer service skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), attention to detail and professional.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently. Ability to prioritize and multi-task, with good time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and provide innovative solutions.
- Mechanical aptitude to identify mechanical / electrical components for sourcing and procurement.
- Knowledge of key part suppliers and distributor or OEM parts, commodity productions and consumables.
