The Herb Depot has been a staple provider of Chinese herbs and medicine since 1992 to the Toronto community.

We are looking to add a new associate to our team at our Dundas and Spadina Location. Steps from St.Patrick station, and minutes from The Art Gallery of Ontario.

**Requirements**:
With a balance of Chinese and Western clients from all cultures; Mandarin Chinese and English is mandatory

Working proficiency of Mandarin, followed by fluent oral and written English skills are necessary. Knowledge of Cantonese, Mandarin, and English is preferred

An interest in natural health, natural remedies, and existing knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine is preferred

Team player, able to work independently without supervision, follows instructions, willing to constantly learn and improve

Multi-dimensional worker; capable of doing different types of tasks throughout the day, able to multi-task and stay calm when busy

Intermediate computer skills

Attention to detail, takes accountability and initiative

**Main Duties**:

- This position is primarily front of house (foh). However, our new associate will be trained FOH - customer service and sales, as well as basic back of house (boh) operations - online shipping fulfillment & inventory _

FOH:
Completing transactions via our POS system and online pickup system

Light cleaning and daily upkeep of the storefront; includes re-stocking and packaging

BOH:
Carefully check online orders before being fulfilled for delivery

Weigh and label herbs; double check expiration dates; quality check all products

Pack parcels with care and accuracy; produce shipping labels

**Hours**: 3-4 days per week, 4-8 hours per day, Monday - Friday. Must have weekend availability for possible weekend shifts

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24-32 per week

Day range:

- Monday to Friday

Shift:

- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift

COVID-19 considerations:
All staff are fully vaccinated. Cleaning and disinfecting of commonly-used areas are carried out daily.
