Dr. Oetker is a state-of-the-art Pizza Production Facility in London, Ontario. With our Head Quarters in Germany, and operations in over 40 countries around the world, we are an international company with deep family roots dating back to 1891. Our London facility which employees about 300 associates was built in 2014 and showcases modern, highly automated, high volume production lines where we produce Ristorante, Casa di Mama and Giuseppe pizzas under the Dr. Oetker label. Our facility is part of the International Pizza Production Unit (PPU) which, in part, identifies projects and efficiencies for execution at plant level.

In our facility, we start with raw materials such as flour and yeast to make a great pizza crust, topping with sauce and ingredients to make a fantastic, finished pizza and then freezing and packaging the pizzas for retail distribution.

As a continuous improvement specialist at Dr. Oetker, you will play a crucial role in optimizing plant performance by implementing process efficiency, waste reduction and cost savings improvement projects.

**You will**:

- Spend the majority of your time on the production floor analyzing the process, collecting data and implementing improvements.
- Plan, facilitate and execute continuous improvement projects using basic lean principles such as kaizen, 5S, fishbone, 5 why and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to execute projects to drive efficiencies and reduce waste to optimize a profitable organization.
- Create and review documentation and work instructions for new or existing projects and processes.
- Work to continuously improve processes efficiencies with a focus on the production floor.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Be flexible in working hours based on project requirements and production scheduling.
- Conduct studies and implement project plans to improve production efficiencies, cost reductions and reduce manufacturing costs.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Post secondary education or equivalent in business, engineering, project management or related discipline.
- This is a _Junior _role within continuous improvement, 3-5 years’ experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing at would be considered an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively and draw from experience in all aspects of manufacturing.
- A passion for continuous improvement and stay up to date on industry advancements and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled in the Microsoft Office suite of programs - Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, etc.
