QA Specialist

**_MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES -_**
- Assist Quality Manager in vendor quality audits (as required), evaluate vendor performance indicators, and provide feedback to vendors on a monthly basis.
- Conduct, and document results of spontaneous product and production activity audits, initiate implementation of preventative and corrective action measures, and follow up on effectiveness.
- Complete quality report processing and expediting as per ISO standards.
- Assist in the development of complete and thorough product inspection and test procedures.
- Coordinate and maintain the equipment calibration system, as required.
- Coordinate acrtivities associated with the CMM, including programing and maintenance, as required.
- Participate in the continuous collation of data for inclusion in the Quarterly Quality Assurance Report.
- Other duties as assigned.

**_REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE -_**

Formal education in Quality Assurance processes and procedures (from a recognized educational institution) or Mechanical Eng designation is preferred, and thorough knowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 protocols are required, combined with a minimum four years related experience in a manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products considered an asset.
