We are an academic subspecialty partnership providing clinical service, teaching and research for the University of Calgary at Foothills Medical Centre and South Health Campus sites. We have a Diagnostic Radiology Residency Training Program with approximately 25 trainees, a Diagnostic Neuroradiology Fellowship Training Program with 4-6 Neuroradiology Fellows, an Interventional Neuroradiology Fellowship coordinated in combination with our Neurovascular Neurosurgery colleagues as well as numerous (non-neuroradiology) fellows throughout other areas within the department. The Department of Radiology at the University of Calgary is home to a large Image Science Division with 14 full time PhD academic research scientists and numerous MSc, PhD and Post Doc trainees which includes a large focus in Neuroradiology related imaging. As a neuroradiology division, we have an excellent relationship with our colleagues in Clinical Neurosciences and Neurosurgery and actively participate in numerous clinical rounds and tumor boards.

EFW radiology owns and operates several private imaging clinics within Calgary and surrounding areas that provide various diagnostic imaging modalities including MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Density, Mammography, Ultrasound, and X-Ray as well as a large Interventional Spine and Joint Pain Management practice within the community.

We perform over 600,000 examinations annually with a balance between community and hospital work. **About Calgary**

Calgary is the largest city in Alberta, with a metropolitan population of 1,239,220 people (Statistics Canada, 2016) located approximately 60-90 minutes east of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Outdoor sport and nature enthusiasts can find themselves in breathtaking mountain scenery less than an hour drive from the city. Calgary is one of the sunniest cities in Canada and our winters are broken up by warm, dry Chinook winds that routinely blow into the city from over the mountains during the winter months. Calgary was recently voted one of the most livable cities in the world ranking third, tied with Zurich, behind Vienna and Copenhagen on the Economist Intelligence Unit list of global rankings.

Calgary has a vibrant theatre, art, food, sports and music community and offers world class education from elementary to university. It was designated as one of the cultural capitals of Canada in 2012.
