If you're up for the challenge, our team is growing, and we are on the lookout for an **Financial Compliance Specialist**. Your mission will be to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes. With your expertise, you will handle various accounting tasks, oversee month-end closing activities, conduct financial forecasting, and analyze payment processing. Your contributions will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, optimizing costs, and supporting decision-making throughout our organization.
**What **you’ll** do as our new **Financial Compliance Specialist**:
Day-to-Day Accounting
- Oversee the accounts payable/receivable process.
- Automate day to day accounting tasks to improve the department’s efficiency and reduced the amount of non-value-added task.
- Maintain general ledgers (with emphasis on the Balance Sheet) and weekly bank reconciliations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
Month end closing
- Own the revenue recognition process and ensure that they are properly categorized in each revenue stream.
- Assist in generating the monthly financial statements.
- Assist in implementing automated checks & balances to insure that the bookkeeping is always up-to-date and that the financial data is accurate.
- Own the project accounting process.
- Track the profitability of each business line, product and client.
Financial forecasting
- Own the revenue, gross margin and SG&A forecasting model.
- Participate in the yearly budgeting process.
- Update our revenue projections in collaboration with the sales & customer success teams.
- Analyze and report on our sales pipeline.
- Work with every department to report on their expenses and reforecast monthly.
- Identify opportunities to optimize our costs, both internal and with suppliers
Payment processing analysis
- Own the payments revenue recognition process.
- Track and report the revenue generated from payments processed by our customers.
- Track the profitability per customers, per regions and per payment partner.
- Analyze and provides suggestions and feedback regarding payment rates to optimize our payments business.
**What you will bring to the team**:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting is required.
- Excellent analytical skills and comfortable with working with large data sets.
- Expertise in creating and maintaining financial models.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Excel and have experience working with financial software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Oracle.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to identify day to day accounting pain points find solutions to remove/automate any non-value-added tasks.
- Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to think strategically and provide actionable insights to drive business growth.
