**ABOUT THE PROJECT**

The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated Joint Venture of Aecon, United and AtkinsRealis located in Kincardine, Ontario. Shoreline Power Group is the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program which replaces the main components of 6 reactors at the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The scope of work includes the removal and replacement of calandria tubes, pressure tubes, and feeders as well as construction management and trade labor. This project is part of Bruce Power’s Life Extension Program, which will allow Bruce Power’s CANDU units to continue to operate safely through to 2064.

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**

The Onboarding Co-op Student is a 4-month contract reporting to the Onboarding Manager and will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating new
- hire orientation, preparing welcome package material and training plans, scheduling onboarding training, and assessing the onboarding experience and its effectiveness to identify and target areas for improvement.

** This is a COOP opportunity, starting in May 2024 to September 2024**

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare new hire material such as welcome packages, lanyard cards, hard hat name tags, etc.
- Set up for Orientation.
- Support Orientation Day.
- Create training rosters.
- Scan new-hire employee documents.
- Update training material for instructors.
- Call trades re: attendance / schedule changes.
- Support CBT day.
- Other duties as assigned.

**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary school education with a focus in Business or Administration.
- Minimum 3.0GPA preferred.
- Experience in an office environment, preferably in a human resource and or training role.
- Knowledge of office methods, process & procedures, equipment and filing systems.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Problem solving, planning and organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks, work to timelines.
- Exceptional communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Extremely detail oriented.

**OTHER QUALIFICATIONS**
- Due to the nature of work conducted by Shoreline, mandated nuclear export controls requirements must be met for employment. Our background check process includes a full security check and clearance process as well as reference checks. The security clearance process includes a comprehensive list of previous residences, employment, education, and other pertinent information. _Those with a valid Bruce Power security clearance are strongly preferred_._
