Quality Assurance Technician

Superior Natural ULC (previously known as Superior Tofu Ltd.) is an established food company since 1982. We manufacture premium conventional and organic tofu, soymilk, and soy desserts. Superior Natural is dedicated to food security, safety, and quality products. Our goals are achieved through meeting SQF standards in all aspects of our operations. Our products are Kosher and Organic certified (on selected products).

**Responsibilities and Duties including but not limited to the followings**:

- Perform line checks and quality tests on in-process products
- Conduct microbiological testing on finished products and analyze results
- Conduct environmental swabbing on plant equipment
- Data collection, data entry and record keeping
- Collect and compile production records
- Inspect incoming raw ingredients and materials and complete inspection forms
- Inspect return products
- Trouble shoot line issues.
- monitor to ensure product quality and food safety conform to SQF standards
- Documentation of food safety and quality programs: GMP/ HACCP/SQF
- Ensure all SOPs are followed and take corrective actions when needed
- Monitor for GMPs, SOPs, personal hygiene, product handling and HACCP requirements
- Assist with investigation of consumer/customer complaints and processing deviations

**Knowledge Required**

1. Food Science diploma or degree

2. Experience of SQF, HACCP and GMP programs an asset

3. Good communication skills

4. Good organizational skills

5. Computer skills; intermediate level in MS Office

6. Strong oral and written communication skills

This position is a full-time position. Work schedule will vary depending on production schedule, with possibility of weekend shifts with average about 40 hours per weeks, hour of work in general between 7am to 11:00pm.

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
