**CAREER OPPORTUNITY: Systems Administrator and Desktop Support**

**Location**: Toronto

**Reports to**: IT Director

**Job Type**: Full-time, Hybrid position. Approx. 2 days a week in studio.

**Compensation**:Competitive salary, Benefits, Paid Vacation, and Personal Days.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Systems Administrator**
- Manage, deploy, and maintain Windows and Linux systems and infrastructure for the studio.
- Manage, deploy, and maintain in-house production network services (AD, AAD, DNS, DHCP, O365, etc.), and storage infrastructure, such as NAS, SAN, and cluster/cloud-based environment.
- Manage, deploy, and maintain license servers using RLM FLEXLM and vendor-based servers. Work with management on monitoring and purchasing of software licenses.
- Create and verify backups of data.
- Work closely with all departments and collaborate with other Engineering staff.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of future hardware and software upgrades and IT development projects.
- Occasional help with data transfers (Signiant, SFTP etc.)
- Documenting system configurations and changes
- Maintain current knowledge on key trends and products related to cybersecurity operations.
- Research hardware for future purchases - Obtaining quotes from vendors.

**Desktop Support**
- Provide day-to-day technical support in a virtual environment using Teradici/VPN for staff as required ranging from a forgotten password to a major system malfunction.
- Build, configure, and deploy/imaging artist workstations using FOG, Maya, Adobe, Nuke, and plug-ins etc.
- Assist with the employee onboarding process.

**Qualifications**:

- Computer Science degree or Information Technology Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator in the Media and Entertainment industry.
- 2+ years of experience with Linux and Windows environments.
- Knowledge of our creative software would be helpful (Maya, Nuke, Houdini, Office 365, Adobe products etc.)
- Working knowledge of Dell EMC Isilon is considered a strong asset.
- Knowledge of AWS is considered an asset.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills, and time management skills.
- Self-confidence, self-starter, ability to multi-task, and think on your feet.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills at all levels (both verbal and written)
- Exceptional level of discretion and judgement with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Proven record of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality at the highest levels.
- Professional, positive, and friendly manner
