Painter/labourer

**Job Overview**:
Omineca Fabricating is seeking a skilled and motivated Painter/Laborer to join our team for short-term work at a sawmill in Maple Ridge.

As a Painter/Laborer working with Omineca Fabricating, you will be responsible for performing a variety of painting and labor tasks to support our current project. This is a temporary position with opportunities for future work.

**Duties**:

- Prepare surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes or cracks
- Protect surrounding areas from paint splatter or damage
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment
- Assist with general labor tasks as needed, such as moving materials or setting up work areas
- Other duties as assigned

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in commercial or industrial painting is preferred
- Knowledge of different painting techniques and materials
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members
- Time management skills to meet project deadlines

**Skills**:

- Proficient in both in industrial painting techniques
- Ability to work safely in a high-hazard environment
- Experience with painting metals and structural steels
- Familiarity with rigging equipment for elevated painting projects

**Schedule**:
Minimum 10 hour days on site.
Overtime will be required.
Anticipated project duration: 2 weeks

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 weeks

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

- painting: 1 year (preferred)
