Badminton Coach

**Terms of Employment/Salary**:

- Full-time (min 35 hrs per week)
- Permanent
- Day, Evening, Weekend Shifts
- $25.00/hour, 2 weeks annual vacation pay

**Job Duties**:

- Observe and evaluate prospective athletes' skills and performance
- Plan, develop and implement training and practice sessions
- Nurture and develop athletes' potential skills and abilities
- Develop, plan and co-ordinate competitive schedules and programs
- Motivate and prepare athletes or teams for competitive events or games
- Analyze and evaluate athletes' or team’s performances and modify training programs.
- Participate in coaching clinic instruction

**Skill Requirements (including language, education and work experience)**:

- English
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- NCCP Level 1 certificate in coaching (or equivalent certification/qualification)
- Minimum two years of training experience under an applicable high performance program
- High technical knowledge of the sport of badminton
- Excellent oral communication, organized, takes initiative, team player, flexible and reliable
