**Job Overview**:
The Pit Boss demonstrates exceptional mathematical and analytical skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment. They ensure first-rate customer service and has extensive knowledge to internal procedures as well as AGLC Terms and Conditions.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Supervises assigned areas in gaming activity to ensure protection of casino assets, and to uphold the integrity of games in accordance with AGLC Terms and Conditions.
- Thorough knowledge of AGLC terms and conditions, approved games and game procedures, and any applicable legislation.
- Performs Fills and Credit transactions as required.
- Approves and acknowledges money/colour changes.
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with guests, ownership, employees, the AGLC and the community and charitable organizations.
- Be a great team player and exemplify outstanding guest services, to both internal as well as external guests.
- Reports and incidents and/or money transactions that exceed a specific monetary value a per policies (FINTRAC) for the abatement of money laundering, and any suspicious guest-behaviour that may hinder the implementation of licensing requirements and/or incur liabilities (trespass, money laundering, social obligations) to the Pit Supervisor or the Games Manager respectively.
- Responsible for the transactions on the tables as well as their correct entry and verification (with signature) of all transactions.
- Coaches and evaluates the aptitude of dealers, takes part in team meetings when required and gives feedback to Pit Supervisor for the benefit of Management.
- Observe problematic guest behaviours or discrepancies and report to Supervisors as required.
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
- Follows and supports the core values of the company.

**Education and Experience**:
- Minimum of high school education (College or University preferred) or suitable combination of education and experience.
- Minimum three (3) years of gaming dealing experience.
- Current AGLC registration gaming license, or ability to successfully become a registered gaming worker.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- AGLC certifications including Anti-money Laundering (AML) Certification, Deal us in Phase 1 and 2, and ProServe.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Ability to speak English is mandatory. Ability to fluently speak additional languages is an asset.
- Proficient in use of Computers and Microsoft Office programs.
- Proficiency in Tournament Directors Association rules.
- Knowledge of gaming controls.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, organized, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience dealing with VIP guests is considered an asset.
**Job Requirements**:
- Ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including graveyards, weekends, and holidays. The hours of work will be based on operational needs.
- Knowledge of AGLC Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines.
- Knowledge and ability to clearly explain operating house rules to guests and employees.
- Professional demeanor and ability to approach situations in a tactful manner.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and treat others with respect regardless of their status or position.
- A passion for providing excellent service and full alignment with the organization’s vision.
- Strong willingness to learn about guest needs and wants.
**Work Conditions and Physical Requirements**:
- Stand/sit - Must be able to remain in a stationary position for 50% of the shift.
- Walk - Must be able to occasionally move about inside the Poker Room.
- Use of hands/fingers - must be able to use both hands to deal cards, pay chips, etc.
- Talk/hear - must be able to detect, determine, identify, observe, inspect, and assess. This positions frequently communicates with guests and employees throughout the entirety of the shift. Must be able to exchange accurate information and professionalism in these situations. Visual acuity of at least 20/40 in either or both eyes with or without corrective lenses.
- Works in an indoor, fast-paced environment.
- Advanced attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
